Frequently Asked Questions

How long is the esthetician program?
The esthetician program is 1000 clock hours and should take you 9-10 months with full time attendance, and 12-13 months with part time attendance.

What is the weekly Schedule?
We have a flexible schedule to accommodate many of life’s challenges. Day program full time is 9am- 4pm and Saturdays (2 Saturdays 8.30am-4.30m) Part time day is 9am-1pm and every Saturday 8.30am-4.30pm. Evening students schedule is 5.30pm-9.30pm and every Saturday 8.30am-4.30pm. We also offer a weekender program.

Do you offer a night program?
Yes we offer an evening program, We start our evening program every monthly. Our evening program is offered tuesday-Thursday evening 5.30pm-9.30pm and saturday attendence 8.30am-4.30pm

What is ITEC?
ITEC is The International therapist exam council www.itecworld.co.uk ITEC is an internationally certification that is recognised in over 37 countries worldwide. ITEC esthetican exam is included in the tuition. This certification ensures that your training is current and meets international standards. So whether you wish to work overseas or stay in the USA you have the top internationally recognised certifications.

What is the dress code?
All white or all pewter in color (dark grey scrubs are to be worn at all times) We give you one scrub top and one ESI T-shirt in your student kit. You may purchase more ESI t-shirts (long sleeve and short sleeve) from our school store. Your name badge and ESI pin is to be worn at all times. No jeans allowed.

How is the parking situation?
We have plenty of parking spaces!  very convenient parking right outside the school door.

Is the school accredited?
We are accredited with the Council On Occupational Education COE www.council.org. In compliance with the NPEC (Non Public post Secondary Education Commission)

What does accreditation mean?
Accreditation means we have met very vigorous standards set by our accrediting body to assure that we offer quality education.

Do you offer Financial Aid?
Yes....School Code 042045- ESI is approved to provide Federal Student Aid to eligible students who wish enrol in the 1000 hour Esthetician Program. We do no offer financial aid for the instructor program at this time. We offer payment plans and various options for cash paying students. Please contact the financial aid office for more information and you can also complete the fafsa enrolment form online at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/

Are there school holidays?
ESI is closed in observance of certain holidays, including:
- First week of July
- Between Christmas day and new year’s day
- Thanksgiving day
- Christmas day

Do you accept student visas or VA students?
Yes we accept VA and foreign students. There is an application process and an approval process.

Do you network and do you offer job placement?
Yes we have a very active placement department and we believe networking with industry leaders is vital to our present students’ ability to be placed upon graduation. Whilst we do not promise you a job we connect you with potential employers and assist you with your resume and audition skills.

Can I get a loan?

What is the curriculum? (facials, waxing, makeup, body treatments, chemical peels, etc.)
Our esthetician program has three levels. Level one is your general sciences, skin sciences and European facial techniques that include makeup and waxing. Level two is all the paramedical and clinical sciences that include machines and peels. Level 3 is holistic sciences and business dynamics. Our esthetician program is of a very high standard which meets both national and international criteria.

What is the age-range?
We have a wide diverse group of individuals ranging from 18-65 years of age of all ethnicity. We celebrate diversity at ESI.

Do you offer tutoring?
Yes we do offer tutoring is needed. There is an additional cost for tutoring but our curriculum is set up in such a way tutoring is not usually needed. We have a systematic methodology to our educational process – we make learning FUN!

What is the expected salary for an esthetician
